Come prepared with plenty of water, sunscreen, and a hat. Also be sure to take your time and follow the "blue" arrows / markings on the trail. If you summit in early summer be aware that you may encounter some snow; wear good hiking shoes with good grip.
If you go all the way to the summit you can ride the tram back down for free and there are typically a 1-2 places to grab food / drinks at the top.
NOTE: Do not park at the trailhead. There are numerous "No Parking" signs. Park at the Palisades parking lot and walk to the trailhead; it’s about five minutes.
