Neighborhoods

Nestled between Uptown, Lower Greenville Avenue and the town of Highland Park, lies the trendy Knox-Henderson neighborhood, a pedestrian-friendly area named for the two primary roads that connect over U.S. Highway 75. Filled with shops, bars and eateries that radiate out in all directions, the neighborhood manages to maintain a cozy vibe despite its central Dallas location. If strolling along the Knox-Henderson corridor isn't enough to get your heart beating, then you can get your body moving on the Katy Trail, an old railroad route that was transformed into a landscaped, 3.5-mile paved path. The trail winds its way through the city's urban core, from Airline Road (near SMU) to downtown's American Airlines Center and West End. Whether you're running, walking, biking or inline skating, the trail is a terrific place to enjoy the outdoors and get in some prime people watching.
