The Grouse House*****
Great local BBQ restaurant located about 5 minutes from the cottage.
It is located at the base of the Otis Ridge Ski Mountain and has amazing view of the skiers in the winter months. Locals refer to the view as "Slopeside" dining!
The resturant does take out as well as dine in. Has a full bar and a good menu selection.

1922 E Otis RdGreat place for take out after a long day hiking or at the reservoir.
Classic Hamburger stand with tons of extras! I strongly recommend the cheeseburger and onion rings.
If your in the mood for ice cream the razzles are to die for!

Fratelli's Restaurant and Pizza****
Great local Italian restaurant only 5 minutes away from the cottage.
I recommend the chicken parmigiana and the shrimp scampi.... I normally do takeout on my way into town so I don't have to cook after the day of traveling.

Swimming, Kayaking & Boating
The Upper and Lower Spectacle ponds are great places to kayak, go for a little hike or even pack a picnic, and enjoy the scenery.
Very rarely more than a handful of people here, highly recommended if you would like some peace and quiet.
The Upper Spectacle pond is only accessible via a dirt road but I would consider it level and easily accessible for a car in the summer months. If you're not looking to travel off pavement I would recommend the Lower Spectacle pond.

They have a great selection including dairy, a butcher, frozen goods, wine, liquor, some produce, and if your lucky some fresh locally made pies.
You might not be able to find everything. If you're looking for something specific I'd call ahead. Additionally, the prices are comparable to the larger grocery stores.

YUMMMMMM. If you enjoyed the marshmallows and graham crackers Id recommend stopping by the Cafe.
They have so much more to offer! European style chocolates are made in house by a master chocolatier. In addition, they offer cakes, cookies, gelatos, and an array of drinks as well as some locally made goods. You will not be disappointed.
It is located inside the Historic Lennox Village Shopping Center.
