Less than an hour on the train direct from Sherborne, Salisbury Cathedral and the City itself are well worth exploring. There is a market, a wide variety of shops, a theatre, cinema, parks, water meadows and of course, the Cathedral and Close. A great number of restaurants and cafes too.

I went to The Newt in July and just loved it. It is only 40 minutes from The Barn Flat & so peaceful & inspiring. They have done it all to an extremely high standard and with great imagination. Don’t miss out on the buffalo ice creams!

Beaches
Kimmeridge - Rocks, Fossils, the Clavell Tower and very few other people. A magical & special place.
Studland - 3 beaches and an excellent National Trust cafe at Knoll Beach. Can get crowded!
There are MASSES of other beaches - please ask Alice for advice.
