Carcross is about an hour drive from Whitehorse. It's a beautiful drive and historic town to explore with great little coffee shop and gift shops. Take your lunch to the picnic area on Bennett Lake - the beach is spectacular and don't forgot to stop in at the dessert.

My absolute favorite restaurant - excellent authentic Mexican food and fun atmosphere. Service may be a bit slow at times so don't be in a rush - it will be well worth the wait. Excellent prices.

Take a photo at the Welcome to Whitehorse sign and if you're lucky you will see the eagles who return each year to their nest located to the right of the sign. This is on the south side of downtown on Robert Service Way.

Sheep Mountain is right in the heart of Kluane National Park beside Kluane Lake. It's a beautiful drive (2 hours from the house) and you are sure to see lots of sheep on the mountain - don't forget your binoculars. There are several hikes but please do not hike on the mtn. during April and May when the babies are being born.
