The Vondelpark is Amsterdam's most popular park. It is home to a selection of restaurants and cafés, including the Blauwe Theehuis, Café Vertigo, Vondelpark3, De Vondeltuin and the Groot Melkhuis. You’ll also find a skate rental shop, an open-air theatre and a rose garden with more than 70 types of roses in the park. The Vondelpark was designed by landscape architect L.D. Zocher and has been awarded national heritage status.

Really cool place for lunch or early evening drinks. They have a huge terrace and a cosy fireplace, you can't miss the place as it looks like a huge, red mushroom in the middle of Mercator square..:-)

Lovely, laid back restaurant with (heated) terrace along side the canal (Footbridge to Vondelpark). Great for coffee, breakfast or an informal dinner. Great selection of Belgium beers.

Many nice restaurant, shopes, fishmonger, butcher, bakery, flowershop, massage and drugstore. Nice terraces! Tram is going every 5 minutes. Bus goes here as well.
