Ambleside Village is located in the heart of West Vancouver. Moments from the Lions Gate Bridge and adjacent to the waterfront and beach. It is an Oceanside community in West Vancouver with a sandy beach, beautiful Ambleside park, seawall walking paths along the water and a trendy shopping village full of tiny stores and businesses.
Lots of restaurants and boutiques line the main corridor of Marine Drive.
Lower Ambleside residents can easily walk to almost everything.
Taking a walk down the street is a pleasure, as is strolling along the West Van seawall providing amazing ocean and downtown views, while getting a little exercise in one of Canada’s most respected and enjoyed communities.
In the summer months, Ambleside is a hub of activity with art galleries, events, concerts and multiple festivals:
Persian New Year Fire Festival in mid-March, West Vancouver Community Day in early June, the Harmony Arts Festival in early August, Ambleside Live Rock Festival in late August and the Coho Festival in early September each year.
In winter months you can easily drive up to Cypress, Grouse or Whistler Ski Resorts.

West Vancouver's own ski resort. You can drive up to the resort. Can get very busy on weekends so plan to go early in the morning to avoid crowds and to get a good parking spot.

This is a very challenging trail/hike and only appropriate for very fit. Almost 3 km long up the face of Grouse Mountain. You climb 2800 steps.
Closed for winter, check before you go if opened as might be closed due to weather conditions making it too dangerous.
Note there are no views on you way up and only when you reach the top. You must have enough water. and snacks to last you to the top. You have to take gondola to go down as walking down is not allowed. There are plenty of attractions on top as well as food.
