Very popular hiking site. This is about 40 mins. from the cabin off of HWY 16 south of Llano. It gets crowed and I believe you can purchase tickets ahead of time on line.

Colorado Bend State park is about 25 minutes from the cabin. Take lots of water. The hike to the waterfalls is pretty far but looks like Jurassic Park!

The Slab is a favorite of the locals. It is really the Llano River where the water flows over the granite rocks and creates small rapids. There are sandy areas as well. Great place to catch minnows. Take an ice chest .

Kingsland is a very small town and has limited restaurants. Most are fast food or Mexican.
