My favourite day trip destinations
A scenic 40 mins drive from the cottage is the lovely coastal town of Norrtälje. Take a stroll along the river, drop by the famous Tosse bakery in the old town for some cinnamon buns, or treat yourself to a lovely lunch at Åtellet.
On the way home, stop at Linneladan for some Swedish crafts and design http://www.linneladan.se

The oldest town of Sweden, Sigtuna is a lovely place to spend a few hrs. It's very close to Arlanda airport, so perfect if you have a few hrs to kill before catching your flight. The Main Street is lined with quaint, wooden houses, shops and cafes. Great cafes, the most famous being the Tant Brun cafe, however many others are just as nice. For a luxurious lunch or overnight stay, you cannot beat the amazing Sigtuna Stadshotell https://www.sigtunastadshotell.se

The oldest town of Sweden, Sigtuna is a lovely place to spend a few hrs. It's very close to Arlanda airport, so perfect if you have a few hrs to kill before catching your flight. Grab a boat to Fjäderholmarna för a lunch, or even take the Waxholms boat all the way out to Lervik (1,5 hrs) and you are home after a 15 mins walk.

Grab a boat to Fjäderholmarna för a lunch, or even take the Waxholms boat all the way out to Lervik (1,5 hrs) and you are home after a 15 mins walk.
