Bearizona is a wonderful place to visit while in Williams. They have beautiful live animals, including jaguars and grizzly bears. They take great care of the animals and it's truly a fun place for people of all ages.

If you love to hike, this is a beautiful day hike located just outside of Williams.
It's recommended for couples and families alike. It's beautiful in the fall when the leaves are changing.

It's recommended for couples and families alike. It's beautiful in the fall when the leaves are changing.

This is a great hike that is only 12 miles outside of Williams. It’s an easy hike about one mile in and one mile out. It’s very pretty and would be good for any level of hiker.

If you have time to make your way to an old ghost town, you should plan to see Jerome. It’s nestled into the side of a cliff, and it’s now an artsy area to visit. Lots of great restaurants and art galleries. It’s just a cool experience.

Sedona is a magical town to visit while exploring Northern Arizona. It's about 90 minutes from Williams, and I suggest taking state route 89a to get there, so you can enjoy the beautiful switchbacks. Please note, it has become a major tourist attraction so it can be very busy. Patience is suggested. :)

Bring a Sweater
While Williams is located in Arizona, it is often mistaken to be hot like the desert. It is a mountain town and it produces mountain temperatures. We always recommend a sweater for the summer evenings and definitely a warm coat in the winter. We also would recommend snow boots in the winter.

The Grand Canyon Railway's Polar Express sells out months in advance. So, if you are planning to join us for this fun event for the kids, make sure to book your tickets in advance.

Old West Shoot Out
During the summer months in Williams, there is a nightly old west shoot out in downtown Williams. The location changes nightly, and we have a schedule posted inside our home so that you don't miss it. Kids will absolutely love it and it's lots of fun for everyone.

Scenic Chairlift -- Flagstaff Snowbowl
About the Scenic Chairlift
Take in the dramatic scenery of northern Arizona from a bird’s eye view on the Grand Canyon Express lift. As the lift travels up to 10,800 feet, you can see the cinder cone volcanic field, the red rocks in Sedona, and as far as the Grand Canyon on a clear day. The ride offers great opportunities for photography, observing wildlife, and expansive views from the San Francisco Peaks.
Open Fridays through Sundays in September, and daily during fall colors.
