Just 200 m from the flat, you cannot miss this place! Not only you will have a great combo of a coffee with a Nata, but you will get the chance to see how the Natas are made while ordering.

2 Rua do Loreto2019: the building is currently going under massive refurbishment which I cannot wait to see the result as a Porto inhabitant but also as an Architect.
So far the time being, you can still enjoy the very fresh food producers stand in the relocated Mercado do Bolhão a little further away.
Open on a daily basis and always fresh!

My dad found this place, and we never miss a chance to go there!
It is a true local, forget about getting a menu, the mother decides with her twin daughter what will be done on the day based on their fresh and local products.
The mother is in the kitchen, you can sometimes when she is taking care of the BBQ in the courtyard otherwise her 2 twin daughters take care of all ...
An advise for this place be there at 12 o’clock sharp, even 11h55 it gets full by locals very quickly...

I always like to stop there, a place of exquisite fragrances, smell, soap, cream...
Created by two fellow German, 150 years ago the brand is truly Portuguese and the shop deserve a stop over... I like o much it’s design.
I know you can find their shop in NYC but it is not the same, isn’t it?

Located in a small mall, walking distance from the flat you can either buy a vegan chocolate cake take away and freshly made on the day or buy some vegan and Bio products.
Be aware the staff is extremely sympathetic, more then the usual !

Neighbourhoods
This is the great neighbourhood you are staying at, it is my favourite and so happy to call it home.
It is the best compromise for me but for you also, you are in the historic Center, but not overrun by tourists, there are all the shops and amenities you will need and more during your stay, supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants, clothing, bank, post office etc
I could not think of a better place to stay and I really hope you will enjoy it!

Bolhão
This is the great neighbourhood you are staying at, it is my favourite and so happy to call it home.
It is the best compromise for me but for you also, you are in the historic Center, but not overrun by tourists, there are all the shops and amenities you will need and more during your stay, supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants, clothing, bank, post office etc
I could not think of a better place to stay and I really hope you will enjoy it!

Take the bus 200 (ticket 2 euros in cash) and stop at Mercado da Foz... then walk down the street, you will see t is very residential and chic, but with lots of small elegant shops on your way down to the sea.
This is my favourite way to arrive to Foz, to meet the Atlantic, and I always get blinded by the sun though the streets.

My little get away only 20min from the flat by bus... and guess what the bus stop is literally 30m from the flat.
Take the bus 200 (ticket 2 euros in cash) and stop at Mercado da Foz... then walk down the street, you will see t is very residential and chic, but with lots of small elegant shops on your way down to the sea.
This is my favourite way to arrive to Foz, to meet the Atlantic, and I always get blinded by the sun though the streets.
