During active snowfall or ongoing street cleaning afterwards, street parking is prohibited by city ordinance. This is not stringent or strictly enforced, but can bring a citation or ticket.

UTA, the Utah Transit Authority, has buses, para-transit, and TRAX (rail) systems. This are especially helpful during major events downtown such as conferences. UTA has a well-managed app that is very helpful for things like maps, times, connections, and fares. Visit rideuta.org

Downtown SLC and areas surrounding have sections of paid parking. Some are private lots and garages, but city parking is its own system. You can pay in person, or via their app "ParkSLC". Very user-friendly.

Park City has some private parking areas, but public parking is paid through the city. The app "Go Park City" is very user-friendly for this area.

Utah is notoriously unpredictable when it comes to weather. Weather forecasts change constantly. While packing, always bring at least a variety of weather-appropriate clothing. You may come for skiing at the resorts, yet have 70 degree weather at the airport. You may head south for warm outdoor adventures and get hit by a northern cold front moving through.

Tickets go quickly for this attraction. Even with there being an extensive hike, it's a busy place. Book in advance.

Fry Sauce is as definitively Utah as Temple Square. What is it? Basically ketchup and mayo combo. Some restaurants have their own variations and additions, but it's definitely worth trying!

Bring your own and brew before heading out, or stick to strictly coffee shops to purchase. Most general restaurants aren't going to have good coffee. Coffee is not culturally something many Utahns consume.
