Great local place with a wide menu. Local music on Sunday mornings as well as Thursday and Friday nights! My son and the father of my kids often play music here (Aubrey and John). Good atmosphere and a comfortable vibe. If you want to visit here plan on spending some time because delicious food takes time!

Delicious food and a great atmosphere. Inside and outside dining are both awesome. The only downside is this restaurant is all the way in Wilton but definitely worth checking out!

One of the best Thai places I've tried. My favorite dish is the Panang Curry with crispy chicken -- make sure to order the crispy chicken on the side. The restaurant itself doesn't have the best atmosphere so I have found that taking it to go and enjoying it at home makes it even better.

Best pizza in the area for takeout! I would recommend Basil's Signature Pizza -- it's my all-time favorite!

Cheap good food and beer! Cheers-like atmosphere and a great patio in the summer months. Wouldn't recommend for children under 16 years old.

Skiing
Great local mountain. Perfect for the beginner level skier who is just starting out and for the more advanced level skiers to improve upon their skills. Cheap, close, and easy to get to. If you're not into downhill skiing they also have extensive cross-country skiing trails. Volunteer-run, cheap snack bar and a welcoming community feel. Ski-rentals on site.

Great skiing for novice to expert! Good food at "The Bag"..get a Bag Burger. Expect to spend all day here ..it takes at least 45 minutes to reach the mountain from this Airbnb.

Hiking
This is the best hike! There are different paths up - an easy one and a more difficult one. If you're interested in an easier hike I'd recommend taking the Brook trail and for a more difficult hike take either the Loop trail or the Chimney trail. The view at the top is beautiful. Not to ruin the surprise but there is a lake on the top of the mountain so if you're down for a refreshing swim don't forget your suit!

Not to ruin the surprise but there is a lake on the top of the mountain so if you're down for a refreshing swim don't forget your suit!

I love this Botanical Gardens. I make the daytrip several times a Summer! The cafe on site is great for lunch. The Club Sandwich is awesome! It is truly spectacular from May - October! And then in November -December they do a festival called "Lights Aglow" that is a magnificent Christmas light festival. For the lights aglow, you need to buy tickets in advance and the number is limited but not hard to comeby. If you are n the area around dinner time, I love the Thistle Inn which is in downtown Boothbay.

If you want the lobsters pre-cooked just make sure to give them at least an hours notice.
