The "Merc" is the only store near the house. Just down the road, it offers a good selection of basic food, drink, and supplies including hardware. If you float the river in summer, this is where you take out, but please don't park in their parking lot. You can park across the road in the lot next to the field at the school.

In the height of summer it can be a shit show but it's a great place to stop and enjoy the view, swim in the warmer months, and watch salmon jump in the winter. Make sure to have a Washington Discovery parking pass or you will get a ticket guaranteed!
