Best coffee and tea in town! Great soups, sandwiches and snacks. Pretty and modern decor and the owner, Nicola, is sweet and social-making everyone feel welcome.

Golden has the distinction of having the first established Sikh Temple in British Columbia. For that reason, the South Asian population here is a large and important part of our community. With that in mind, of course, the Indian food at Indian Kitchen is absolutely to die for! I have lived everywhere so trust me when I say that it's the real deal! While I'm not a giant fan of the atmosphere of the restaurant (it's not horrible, I just don't like TV's in restaurants) -getting takeout from there is one of my family's go-to's and it's so incredibly good! As everything is made from scratch, it takes time but it is beyond worth it!

Reposados, Tacos y Tequila! BRAND NEW! And so crazy good. Delicious, Authentic Mexican and ridiculously creative cocktails. Also a massive selection of sipping tequila and mescal. This is our new favourite haunt!

The best beer, ever! I'm not kidding! I'm so impressed with the caliber of their product, not to mention their modern, professional space. Try a flight of all the beers so you can decide what your favourite is (I still can't!) Then grab a growler of it to take with you.

Because of Golden's location on theTrans Canada hwy, it's active music promotional companies (like Golden Delicious Productions) and the festive nature of Goldenites on the whole we get a ridiculous amount of excellent music through here for all sorts of varied tastes.
This is a bar set in a huge log cabin with an extensive, creative burger menu. A fun place to share a pint, bring the kids for food or watch live music. Local Jam nights on Sundays are always a hit.

Looking for adventure? This is the best raft company in town, hands down. Owner, Ryan Johansen, runs this outfit which is professional, safety oriented and super fun! Not to mention that he treats his staff so well and keeps many around for a long time. (My husband, who no longer rafts full time will sometimes sub in for these guys-it's the only company he'll do that for still!) The sections of the Kicking Horse River they run are for the adventurous type. Maybe those who are pregnant or have heart conditions might want to refrain. And it is not available for kids under 13. For everyone else: do it! You'll love it!
