Gastown, named after one of its unofficial founders, “Gassy Jack” Deighton, is one of our oldest neighborhoods. Over the last ten year, Gastown has been flooded by a large number of interesting, independent, and cocktail-forward eateries, higher-end retail shops and fashionable boutiques.

Home to the Granville Entertainment District, "the strip" of Granville Street between West Georgia and Drake, downtown is also home to some of our older and more diverse buildings (Vancouver Art Gallery, Hotel Vancouver, Christ Church Cathedral) and largest shopping destinations (Pacific Centre, Holt Renfrew). There’s a lot to explore and enjoy in these parts, so get at it!

Referred to as Kits by most locals, Kits is where the beach meets greenery and the city. If you want to start the day at the beach or outdoor spaces and end the afternoon exploring small boutiques or local eateries, Kits is an absolute must.
