This category contains a lot of different recommendations, but all within a 10 minute walk of our downtown shotgun bungalow property. There are many more places, but these are our favorites (we live downtown close by the property you'll be staying at) places we frequent.

Saul Good Restaurant & Pub
123 N BroadwayCasual Dining - Just a 2 minute walk from our shotgun bungalow property on the corner of Short and Broadway. Their chicken and waffles have been featured on the food network, but lunch and dinner will not disappoint at this casual dining experience either.
Martini bar & Casual Dining - A 3/4 minute walk, this martini bar is located in the Hilton. While being under the Hilton umbrella, their food is surprisingly good, at a decent price point, but their location with a streetside patio, or large glass windows (if seated inside) facing Broadway is the main draw. Service can be hit or miss though as they always seem to be understaffed.
Bigg Blue Martini
369 W Vine StMartini bar & Casual Dining - A 3/4 minute walk, this martini bar is located in the Hilton. While being under the Hilton umbrella, their food is surprisingly good, at a decent price point, but their location with a streetside patio, or large glass windows (if seated inside) facing Broadway is the main draw. Service can be hit or miss though as they always seem to be understaffed.
New York Style Pizza - take out only, open late. Just a 4/5 minute walk from our shotgun bungalow property. If you like New York style slices, this is your place. The lines can get long at night, but it is open late. This location is walkable, but they have a large bar/lounge space on Manchester St as well.

110 N Mill StNew York Style Pizza - take out only, open late. Just a 4/5 minute walk from our shotgun bungalow property. If you like New York style slices, this is your place. The lines can get long at night, but it is open late. This location is walkable, but they have a large bar/lounge space on Manchester St as well.
Upscale steakhouse with reasonable prices, only a 3/4 minute walk from our shotgun bungalow property. It might be hard to get a table on short notice, but is worth the work to get one. You'll be very happy with the service and the food. I've heard several comments that Tony's could have better steak finishes than Ruth's Chris.

401 W Main StUpscale steakhouse with reasonable prices, only a 3/4 minute walk from our shotgun bungalow property. It might be hard to get a table on short notice, but is worth the work to get one. You'll be very happy with the service and the food. I've heard several comments that Tony's could have better steak finishes than Ruth's Chris.

1.5 Miles from our shotgun bungalow property, the Distillery District was an old industrial complex that now houses all the great entertainment, food, and bar/brewery options listed below. A must to check out while you are in town as there are lots of options condensed into this small walkable space.
