Local Restaurants
There are so many restaurants nearby (10 minutes walking distance) it's hard to decide where to go. We've listed a few of our favourites that are within 15 minutes walk from our flat. We've tried to add a good variety of cuisines, but if there's a particular cuisine you're looking for that's not here, ask as we might have a suggestion!

Fhior is fantastic - on the pricey side, but if you're looking for some amazing food nearby then this is one of the best restaurants in Edinburgh that doesn't have a MIchelin star (yet).

We absolutely love this place, it's an indian restaurant but it's not your typical curry house. They're open all day, and we'd genuinely recommend going any time, as we've been for breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and all of them are great. It's got a cocktail room downstairs where you can wait for a table - they don't take bookings.

We've been here a few times, they do good mezze style middle eastern food. If it's warm outside they have cute outdoors tables, and they also do Shisha outdoors which is different!

As a big steak lover, this is my favourite steak place in Edinburgh. There are three of these restaurants now in Edinburgh, this one in Leith is the original and I'd say the best.

This definitely isn't the best Thai in Edinburgh (Dusit), it's just good, however - the rooftop restaurant and terrace have amazing castle views, as well as being a good cocktail bar you can drink in before/after. So still somewhere we'd recommend especially if this is your first time in Edinburgh and want to enjoy a good view of the castle over dinner.
