Set at two levels next to the sea with a great view towards the sea and the Fortezza castle. The food is contemporary Cretan cuisine with more refined dishes. Known for excellent quality and fresh sea food. Try the shrimp rissoto with ouzo and salad with cretan cheese.
My advice is to book a table if you go for dinner after 8-9pm.

Right in the heart of old town Hasika offers cretan delicious dishes served in modern way. Combine dining at Hasika with a walk in the old town. This is a great option if you want to eat quality in walking distance.

Cretans are proud of Arkadi's monastery history. It is the Holocaust of November 8th 1866. The Monastery gave its fights against Ottomans. It managed to shake off the traces that the enemy fiercely desired to settle and succeeded in changing the course of the Cretan history.

Cretans are proud of Arkadi's monastery history. It is the Holocaust of November 8th 1866. The Monastery gave its fights against Ottomans. It managed to shake off the traces that the enemy fiercely desired to settle and succeeded in changing the course of the Cretan history.
Fortezza castle was build by the Venetians in the 16th century, and was captured by the Ottomans in 1646. There are great views over the sea and the city. There are mosques, art exhibitions and a small ancient style theater.
My advice is to avoid the heat and go early in the evening (note that it closes at 19.30 or 20.00). Also note that during the summer concerts may take place which means that you may not get the chance to see the theater if it is not early enough.
