Super easy to get to, this is where you might want to stock up on a weekly basis. There is an attached bar/restaurant for convenience, and a Laundry/dry cleaners next door too.

La Rochelle is an excellent city to walk around. You can catch a ferry to one of the outer islands, or enjoy the old port with it's classical two towers at the entry to the Port.

So much to like about this village. Walk down to the river and along to the Bain des Dames. Take your swimmers with you. It is a River beach on the Charente River. The town has excellent market days...go on Saturday! and a couple of good cafes serving food and drink most days.

On the Charente River, this medieval Abbaye is well worth a visit. Walk through the cloisters, along the ancient stone walk and marvel at the stone walls. Imagine life as it was. Walk down to the river through the gardens. Such a glorious, verdant place.
