Food scene
An iconic pub in Morfa Nefyn. Right on the beach with the most incredible views to Snowdonia and probably the most impressive walk through a golf course to get there that you have ever seen! Park at the National Trust car-park and take the golf course route over and up and then drop down to the beach and have a well-earned pint. There is also the Museum of Maritime in Nefyn (the next village along) which is good for some local history.
Distance from cottage: 15 mins drive then a 10 min walk over golf course

Tŷ Coch Inn

5 min walk down the hill from the cottage. Really lovely food, great wine list and super service from Allun and staff. Book early for the restaurant or take your chances in the bar. Or if you just want to while a few hours away after the beach and watch the world go by then grab 1 the benches outside and enjoy a pint of llyn brewed ale or lager.

Pwllheli
Is the place to stop for your shopping. With 2 markets (Weds & Sunday) you can pick up local specialities for those all important picnics. There are major supermarkets and all the high street chains as well as lots of little independents – definitely don’t miss Gwin Llŷn Wines to stock up on superb local gins, wines from the world and lots of lovely tastings. The fabulous Llyn Seafoods is next door so you can buy some crab to go with your fizz!
If you get chance stop at Allports chippy where they will double fry your chips if you ask nicely!
Pwllheli has long sandy beaches and the Hafan Marina for lot of sailing and yacht-watching options.

Brilliant shop sellling everything from gorgeous clothes to fabulous artworks. Locally made jewellery, quirky gifts and lots of other local treats makes this shop worth a visit. Tie it in with a visit to the Plas Oriel gallery and Llanbedrog beach and you have a lovely day out.

Once you’ve had your fill of exhibitions take a stroll through the network of woodland paths to the Tin Man sculpture and the most fabulous views. Then either grab a delicious lunch at the café there or hit the beach and eat at the beachside Aqua Beach Bar whilst admiring the view.
