This is a beloved Algiers Point spot that serves up great food! Breakfast favorites are the Katrina huevos rancheros (OMG yum!) and the Atchafalaya (crawfish etouffee over grits). And for lunch, we like the Croque Monsieur and the bagel and lox.

Cafe 615 is less than a 10 minute ride away from the Point but it's a great destination if you want to eat traditional New Orleans food. It's definitely not a touristy location, but you won't be disappointed with the large portions of deliciousness. Favorites include seafood platters, fried chicken, eggplant and seafood casserole, and shrimp etouffee. The dishes can be a bit on the salty side though.

615 Kepler StCafe 615 is less than a 10 minute ride away from the Point but it's a great destination if you want to eat traditional New Orleans food. It's definitely not a touristy location, but you won't be disappointed with the large portions of deliciousness. Favorites include seafood platters, fried chicken, eggplant and seafood casserole, and shrimp etouffee. The dishes can be a bit on the salty side though.
It's off the beaten path, but if you'd like something different with a Caribbean flare, their jerk chicken is great.

Great for traditional New Orleans fare in the French Quarter. We highly recommend the charbroiled oysters. Unfortunately there tends to be a long line. That’s why we might bump down to Deanie’s down the street.

A newly added deli with great sandwiches and a snowball counter make it hard for us to ever leave this 4 block radius.

This is a great breakfast and lunch spot! There are some creative dishes as well as New Orleans classics. We love the dark roux gumbo and the omelette sandwich here!

Perhaps the most famous New Orleans restaurant, Commander’s continues to be a local favorite when there’s a cause for celebration. Not only will you enjoy impeccably prepared Creole classics, the ambience and excellent wait service elevate the entire experience into something really special. It’s not cheap and it is out of the way from main attractions, but keep it in mind if you have the resources and want that special experience. Favorites include the gumbo and bread pudding soufflé!

We feel absolutely spoiled getting this new addition to our neighborhood, especially since it’s just one block away. The pizza is cooked in a wood burning oven and transports us back to our trips in Italy. That being said, make sure NOT to pass up the Caesar salad.
