If you are coming from Kyiv or either Airport, this is the best place to stop on the road to Zuybria to buy all of your groceries. They also sell lots of housewares and other things you might like to buy. It's a huge store and nothing else like it in the Zubyria area.

This is a great little store where you can buy food, veggies, beer, wine and lots of staples. It's the closest medium sized grocery story to our cottage. Generally open 9am - 9pm, but we suggest you call to confirm: +3804594 66732

There are two small stores in the village, about a 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk from my cottage. You can get basics here, but best to do your main shopping at RC Mini (20 minutes away by car) or in Kyiv.

Activities
In our general area, the best place for outdoor activities is Avanturist. They also have a restaurant.
Swimming pool is available for 200 grivnas ($7.50) per day, per person.

A great way to spend a winter's evening is at the banya (sauna) at Avantyuryst.

Rent bikes at Avantyuryst and use them on the paths on their territory. For an extra fee, they will deliver bikes to you at the cottage in Zubyria for your use in the area. Just be careful on the highways and always wear a helmet.

Take a one-way guided trip down the river with Avanturist. They will provide transportation to a drop off point and meet you back at the complex.

Beremitsky Ecopark park contains rare wild horses, deer, cats, horse riding and hundreds of other animals and things to do. Following the Rewilding Europe Foundation, they are focused on recreating aboriginal ecosystems. It's 20 minutes from Zubyria.

There are no restaurants in our village, and your best food will probably be prepared on our terrace grill. But there are a few options 20 minutes away, which I list here. For real tasty food, check out my Kyiv Guidebook.

Worth checking out if you want to see the river and have a mediocre meal outside of the cottage. Call in advance to make sure they are open and which amenities are available for non-guests.

I love Zhenya the crab and shrimp man on the side of the road. If you order in advance, he’ll cook up a delicious platter of seasoned Ukrainian crabs. Or buy from him and cook them at home.

This is the closest shop to our home, less than a ten minute walk. They have basic items like beer, cheese, meats, eggs, etc. But if you want luxuries, best to buy them on the road to Zubyria.
