Things to Do
Fun things to do within 30 min drive. If you want to take a longer 1.5-2 hour drive, there is always Orlando with the amusement parks.
Nearest beach park to the house (3 miles away). The south end is dog friendly (leashes required) - currently the only dog friendly beach nearby. Public parking, facilities and food trucks. Plenty of other public access north and south of Canova as well.

A beautiful park situated where the Indian River meets the Atlantic Ocean. On the east side of the park, you have the Atlantic Ocean, beach and waves. Great fishing from the jetty and fishing pier. There is also a great crescent beach with tidal pool protected by a jetty that is great for learning to paddle board, floating around or just allowing the kids to play in gentler waves. Pack and lunch, bring a cooler - has a cafe but small and can get a long line.
Gets crowded on the weekends.
