Trendy area to dine in Hamilton is James St and King William. Good choices for restaurants, bars or boutique shopping.
Do not be fooled by the less than desirable decor, the food is amazing. The area around this restaurant has become very trendy but this little Indian restaurant has been around for years. Hence the decor.
More good news, you can order and take out. I've done it many times. Uber Eats or Skip the dishes will bring their mouth watering Buttered Chicken directly to you! Don't forget to order rice for all that yummy sauce.

Good inexpensive pizza. Their wings are OK but nothing to write home about. They are approx. 15 mins away by car. They deliver but it takes about 45mins.

280 Van Wagners Beach RdThis is a historic landmark to the beach. Fish and chips. I don't know how to rate it, but there's line ups every night and the decor is the original retro look with water views. The have awesome ice cream. Creme Brûlée is my all time favourite!
Crooksy's is a local pub within walking distance of the house. Approx. 4 blocks. Pub food (wings, burgers...) Staff and customer's are remarkably friendly. Friday night, 8:30'ish is karaoke. It's a great time and coincidentally, they're all amazing singers. They also do take out.
