Places to eat
Around St Ives and Carbis Bay, there are a huge number of food options. I shall list just a few which we personally like to use.
Tesco store is a 500m walk along the road from the Cottage which makes it a very convenient option for most general food and supplies plus it has a Costa Coffee shop with one of the best views in the Country.

Costcutter is a 5 minute walk along the main road from the Cottage and is convenient for general supplies especially when Tescos is closed as it is open til 10pm.

There are two Chinese takeaways in St Ives town with not much to choose between them but this one does deliveries which makes if a great option if you want to eat in but don't feel like cooking after a long day on the beach.

A 5 minute walk down the hill ( 10 minutes back :) brings you to stunning Carbis Bay beach and the Ocean Sports Centre run by Glen and Jill where you can hire a variety of water equipment for exploring the beautiful coastline of for just messing about.

For a bit of culture, visit one of the best art galleries in the country just above beautiful Porthmeor beach. The views alone are incredible and then there's the art too.

This is a 10 minute walk up the hill from Wheal Comfort and an epic place to watch the sunset from. You can see both coasts from here and the views are splendid.

This stunning beach is a 5 minutes walk straight down the hill from Wheal Comfort. It's a 10 minute walk back up :)
It has the Hotel Spa, restaurants and toilets and you can hire watersports equipment from Ocean Sports Centre.
It is one of our most sheltered beaches so it's great for swimming and chilling.

카비스 베이 비치
Beach RoadThis stunning beach is a 5 minutes walk straight down the hill from Wheal Comfort. It's a 10 minute walk back up :)

It is one of our most sheltered beaches so it's great for swimming and chilling.
For a longer walk (with a great pub at the end) why not walk into St Ives and then take the coast path West from Porthmeor all the way to Zennor. There is a shorter return path across the fields or you can catch a bus back after a well earned pint of Tinners at the Tinners arms.

Great local public transport
There are bus stops for both directions about 50m towards St Ives on the main road.
Carbis Bay train Station is a short walk down the hill and the St Erth - St Ives branch line is a beauty.
