(there are a few places that can tie with Mary Angela's but none beat it)
I can heartily recommend the pizza, salads, subs & pastas (huge portions). The fried calamari is my favorite appetizer. The NY style is excellent - pro-tip if ordering a pizza with a lot of veggie toppings ask for it "well-done." The Sicilian deep dish pizza takes at least a half hour in the oven but is also amazing.

The menu is small. They have gyro, shawarma, falafel, fries and the like, but it's all very good and they have daily specials that are fabulous. The owners are very nice, and the restaurant has a nice patio and indoor seating.

Can Can is a lovely French style restaurant. They have excellent breakfast lunch and dinner, an amazing on site bakery and great wine selection. The have lovely indoor and outdoor seating.

Sweet Frog is a fun, self serve, pay by the pound, frozen yogurt shop. The soft serve frozen yogurts are good & there are sugar free and dairy free options. There are lots of topping to choose from as well. It's very popular with kids of all ages.

This is a pretty standard deli experience, but I like it. My favorite item is the bagels and lox. They have occasional band and karaoke nights as well.

Les Crepes is a nice change of pace from pizza/sandwiches/burgers. They have a great varied crepe menu & the crepes are really filling and really delicious. There's seating indoors or on a lovely patio or on the big front porch.

This is a lovely local organic specialty grocery store. They have a great selection of prepared foods, produce, meats, groceries, juice bar, supplements and toiletries. Their prices can be higher than an ordinary grocer but the quality of every single thing is top-notch.

Right in Carytown we are lucky to have this landmark historic theater. They host film festivals, show second runs for a low price, and have various other fun functions. It's a great night to plan on walking to Carytown to get dinner or drinks and then catch a movie.
