Lovely little museum (including an aquarium, butterfly house, big garden and child friendly exhibits). Often houses events, we go here all the time with our kids. Super child friendly.

Lovely park- we like the American garden for picnics in summer. Cafe is quite good but can get v busy if its sunny. Good playground for kids.

A lovely museum in a beautiful park. Has a great section for toddlers and another interactive section for slightly older kids (including a simulator for driving a ferry which is eerily real). Playground nearby too. Cafe ok but can be busy.

Great, cheap cinema. All tickets £4.99. Always. Don't expect lots of frills but you will see the film comfortably and the set up is totally adequate. Does sessions for mums and babies too.

Small community library, has Rhyme Time etc for younger kids, very cheap cafe and good shop for second hand books.
