This eclectic museum houses a large natural history collection, a Civil War collection, and (best of all) a complete garrison building, moved from where it stood near my house to the museum to preserve it.

Good picnic spot, with views of the Pisquataqua River and Great Bay. Plus you can walk between the north and south sections of the park by taking a walkway under Rt.16. There are bathrooms and play equipment for kids.
