Owned and operated by family friends, the Black Sheep would have made our list of favorite restaurants even had we not had this personal connection! With a more adventurous menu than most Santa Barbara eateries, an excellent beer, wine and cocktail selection, and an incredibly passionate and knowledgeable staff, The Black Sheep never fails to disappoint. Reservations recommended Thursday through Saturday.

Don't go if you're in a hurry or too hungry to wait a bit for your food, as it is made from scratch and the service, while exceptionally friendly, is not reliably fast; do go if you want a memorable, old school Santa Barbara dining experience you can't get anywhere else.
