A fantastic stonebaked Pizza takeaway just around the corner from the flat. The tip is if you are hungry and don't want to join the long delivery queue that there normally is. Go and pick it up and you normally only have to wait about 10-15 minutes.

One of the closest takeaways to the flat with a sit in restaurant option. Or head in, order a pizza to takeaway and have a drink at the bar whilst you wait. A nice independent wood fired oven restaurant.

The lovely Portland Cafe is well worth popping to for some of their delicious smoked mackerel pate, sandwiches, breakfast options and great sweet treats too. A lovely local spot to relax & read the newspapers.

A walk from Brighton Marina or cycle ride which can be taken from one end all the way along to Saltdean where the old (but newly refurbished) lido is. A lovely walk along the seafront away from cars.

A historic gem tucked away in this beautiful old town with lots of fantastic individual shops and buildings to explore. You can get to lewes on a bus from outside Brighton Pavillion which takes about 25 minutes. But it is well worth a trip.
