You can step right out of the house for a walk or jog in our quiet residential neighborhood. Not much traffic to worry about. But for great trails and unique ecosystems that you won't find anywhere else in the world, we suggest a trip to Everglades National Park. We especially love Shark Valley, where you can rent bikes and take the 15 mile loop trail. There are no sharks! but if you're lucky, you'll see many alligators, anhingas, and all the incredible wildlife native to this unique ecosystem. And... If 15 miles of alligators feels a bit overwhelming by bike, there's always the tram! :)

The food feels home cooked, the waitresses are very friendly and nurturing, there's also a bakery attached, and of course, great Cuban coffee. There are many other wonderful Cuban and Latin restaurants nearby. This one is just one of our favorites, and only a few minutes away.
