Some of the best food and certainly the coolest scene in town by far bar none. Not pretentious but filled with real Boston folks and live music. My favorite place in Boston. One block from the apartment.

Truly a French experience (and I lived in France for 6 years and this place is genuinely Francais). Technically, it's a Boulangerie/Patisserie where you can get un cafe au lait with a pain au chocolate that will make you cry, it's so good.

Whole Foods. Need I say more? A 3-min leisurely walk from the house. There are also other grocery stores within a short walk. Not to mention convenience stores galore (one is at the end of my street).

Absolutely beautiful shopping mall with the recently added Eatery (more than a food court) that also connects to the equally gorgeous Copley Mall. Lots of indoor walking all a 5-min walk from the house. Of course, it all connects to the Hynes Convention Center, as well as to the Prudential Tower, where you can go to the observation deck or to the Top of the Hub for a high-end experience! (pun/double-entendre intended :)

800 Boylston StAbsolutely beautiful shopping mall with the recently added Eatery (more than a food court) that also connects to the equally gorgeous Copley Mall. Lots of indoor walking all a 5-min walk from the house. Of course, it all connects to the Hynes Convention Center, as well as to the Prudential Tower, where you can go to the observation deck or to the Top of the Hub for a high-end experience! (pun/double-entendre intended :)
Sightseeing
Newbury Street is one of the most beautiful, fun, vibrant streets in this country. A mile long, it's replete with cafes, restaurants, all kinds of great stores... It's an easy 10-min walk from the house.
