The Broadway Market in Tooting Broadway has recently been refurbished. Plenty of cool restaurants offering interesting menus at a reasonable price.
Just jump on the G1 bus (check timing on Gmap before leaving the flat as the bus is not very frequent) and get off at Tooting Broadway, 10 minutes ride.
