Best venue for free live music in town, if you ask me. Rontoms is famous for their "Sunday Sessions," where there's usually an excellent Psych-Rock band. And their happy hour menu is quite good too!

The neighborhood bar. Happy hour until 6 every day! Darts, cornhole, outdoor seating, decent tap selection, and friendly bartenders. They have good food selection too, with salads, burgers, nachos, quesadillas, sandwiches, and wings. Highly recommended for a laid back drink or dinner.

The closest marijuana dispensary if you are interested in trying some legal weed. They have a decent selection and decent prices, nothing fancy. You can't smoke in public, but you can smoke on our back patio! Open 10am - 9pm.

The best burrito I've ever had...and I'm from Austin, Texas. I very highly recommend the veggie soy-curl burrito with avocado instead of sour cream. Bring cash because this location is a food cart and doesn't take cards.

It's a cultural phenomenon here that everyone gets up after a long night at the bars and meets up with friends for a leisurely siesta at any number of awesome breakfast spots all over Southeast Portland. This one is my favorite. Great combination of cool atmosphere, friendly service, and great breakfast. I always get the migas with home-made chorizo.

This one is my favorite. Great combination of cool atmosphere, friendly service, and great breakfast. I always get the migas with home-made chorizo.
My partner and I love this spot for happy hour. They have a quaint little patio that's very comfortable. The drinks are stiff and the staff are cool. But the thing that really sets this place apart is the food. It's all vegetarian, but you wouldn't know it. The "small" nachos is the size of your head. The tamales are sublime. And my girlfriend's favorite is the vege-carnitas tacos. Just one of them is equivalent to two regular tacos, and the price is right too.

This park is referred to colloquially as "The Bluffs." There is an expansive view of downtown, Swan Island, and even Cathedral Bridge in St. Johns. Be sure to catch a sunset picnic here!

Technically an active volcano, Mount Tabor is really more of a hillock. And there are tons of little private trails all over Tabor that wend their way from bottom to top. On the "summit" there is a great view of SE Hawthorne Street all the way to downtown.
