Greenwich Park was the first royal park in London to be enclosed.
In 1433 Henry V’s brother, the Duke of Gloucester, was granted a licence to “empark” the land and enclose it within a wall. He also built a manor house in the park and the house was later rebuilt as Greenwich Palace by Henry VII.
The park currently covers an area of 73 hectares (183 acres).
Fact: The Duke of Gloucester (founder of Greenwich Park) left a vast collection of manuscripts to Oxford University which formed the basis of the famous Bodleian Library. His wife was suspected of being a witch and Henry VI committed her for high treason.

Climbed the O2 and got the dine and climb deal which was great value for money. The climb was amazing, and the views at the top were incredible. Great afternoon out!

Getting Around
North Greenwich is a London Underground station served by the Jubilee line. Consider the cable car next to the main station to get one of the best views of London present and past of industrial and maritime achievements and history.

Walk from the property down the river and you will be trapped between the Naval historic significance of British colonial past and the Canary Wharf view over the Thames, the London financial district. It's only 20 minutes walk but we just want to do it again and again so definitely recommended.

Walk from the property down the river and you will be trapped between the Naval historic significance of British colonial past and the Canary Wharf view over the Thames, the London financial district. It's only 20 minutes walk but we just want to do it again and again so definitely recommended.
