Places to stop by in Cannes for the sprawling views.
View from the hill top of Le Suquet is quite something. It's steep hill but the view over Cannes is worth the effort.
The Castre museum is a small but interesting place to visit. They have a collection of artifacts from Tibet, Egypt, Greek, etc.

Long sprawling promenade alongside the Palais des Festivals et des Congres. It makes for a pleasant walk during the day or in the evening, and essentially constitutes Cannes' own Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Jump on the ferry from Cannes to l'Ile Ste. Marguerite where the Man in the Iron Mask was imprisoned (feel free to imagine Leonardo di Caprio in the role). These islands make for a great swimming and sunbathing spot though try to bring a picnic if you can!
