Approximately a 25min drive from Vernon, you can wander amongst Red Kangaroos (the largest type of kangaroo), Common Wallaroos and Bennett Wallabies (which are mid sized), and Dama Wallabies (one of the smallest wallaby species). Also on site are have emu, peacocks, fancy chickens, goats, parrots, a baby albino wallaby, baby kangaroos and potbellied pigs. There are also capybara, the world’s largest rodent, which can weigh more than 150 lbs! Staff are very knowledgeable about kangaroos and wallabies and are on hand to answer any questions you might have about various species, habitat, breeding, diet, housing and general physiology. Your visit can be as educational an experience as you choose to make it.

The park’s natural attractions, combined with the dry, sunny Okanagan climate provide many recreational opportunities from spring through fall. Hiking trails along the scenic headlands are steep and require care and attention.

Activities available include canoeing, cycling, fishing, hiking, hunting, horseback riding, pets on leash, dog beach on eastern end of Cosen's Bay, swimming, waterskiing, wildlife viewing and winter recreation.
Enjoy a generous beach area with large mature trees, picnic tables, a proper bathroom, a snack shack that serves hot dogs, slushies, some Mexican fare and popsicles. The dock is long, approx 100 feet, with ladders available at different depths and sides including the end. The lake itself at this beach is shallow and you can walk around 60 ft. off the beach before it starts hitting your shoulders. Parking is iavailable across the street and there is an unloading area where you can pull over and dump your stuff at the controlled crossing. Pack water and an umbrella for shade, you'll be happy you stopped by.
