I didn't go here for the longest time because I thought- how nice can it be if it's in the mall parking lot? But we finally got around to trying it out, and the food was phenomenal! The avocado wraps are delicious and the Lomo Saltado is hands-down the best steak I've ever eaten.

Like Sangria, The Black Cypress is more for a special night out, but it's always worth it.

We think this is the best breakfast & lunch option in the entire Palouse! Plus it's pretty drive out of town which makes it a perfect little getaway for a Saturday morning.

Go pick blackberries in late August along the public bike trail north and south of Juliaetta. They are everywhere along the trail and it makes for a great date or family activity! Plus, it's free! Make sure to bring buckets and wear long sleeves.

Not a zoo, but the Bear Center at WSU is free to just walk up to the fence and watch the bears. They are more active in the middle of the day, around their lunch time. They hibernate during the winter and I don't know if you can see them then.
