It’s a beautifully tranquil place to spend your spare time. It’s safe too. The 11 mile (17km), traffic-free trail explores the quieter parts of the forest, using old mining railway tracks and forest roads. Accessed directly from Pedalabikeaway, the green graded Family Trail is rideable by all ages and abilities.
It gently follows the Cannop Valley before climbing gradually through ancient oak and beech woodland to Drybrook Road Station.

A definite must if you are in the area. Lovely atmosphere. Great coffee and cakes. Good local knowledge. Great examples of local food and artistry (cards, small gifts etc ). Very friendly, local welcome and clearly a hub of community life. A great selection of cheese too. Fabulous locally produced ice cream! What a village gem.
