Built by William the Conqueror and inhabited by many since, the Tower is one of the most iconic places in London. If you only have time to do one historic thing in London, do this. You will not be disappointed. Don't forget to visit the Crown Jewels too! If you're able to plan in advance, it is possible to book tickets to see the Yeoman Warders locking up the jewels at night.

If you can't make it to the museum, the gift shop has free entry and has some awesome gifts replicating iconic TfL posters, color schemes and so on. They also do 'lates' where the museum is adults only, with arts and crafts, music and a bar.

If you can make it to the top of the hill, you have a breathtaking view of the city. Also, the Prime Meridian line is up there and you can stand in the Western and Eastern Hemispheres at once.

The Skygarden is located at the top of the 'Walkie-talkie'. It's a beautiful garden with stunning views of London. It is directly across from The Shard so it's a great way to see some of London's new iconic buildings. Best of all, the entry is free you just have to reserve tickets in advance.
