This Ramone's location is inside Wildberries Supermarket, and is my absolute favorite for baked goods, cookies, pies, cakes, etc. It is open until 9:00pm each night, so it is perfect for people who want a sweet after dinner.

Another iconic redwood park, this one has been the setting of several movies, including Jurassic World. The world famous Fern Canyon is located in this park, as well as the Corkscrew Tree - 3 redwood trees that grew up entwined together.

This is an incredible park just about 20 minutes from our home. It offers stunning Pacific Ocean views, native American history and culture, and hiking. It is now known as Sue Meg State Park.

The little Victorian village of Ferndale is a storybook village that takes you back to small-town USA of 60 or 70 years ago. It has attracted its share of fame because Hollywood recognized how photogenic it is. Several big-budget motion pictures have been filmed in Ferndale through the years. Now it is a place to have a nice lunch, or a coffee, meander through some art galleries, a blacksmith shop, take in a play at the Ferndale Theater, or go to the Humboldt County Fair, which makes its home in Ferndale every August.
