It will knock your socks off! Okay hopefully not really. Zions park is grand and cathedral like, but do go extra early or come at dusk as this beautiful park does get oodles of visitors.

Where lots of locals go for fun . No dune board or buggie, no worries. Climb the epic sand dunes and slide down on cardboard. Take classic desert pics.

Not always open to the public, this place is fun for a drive by at least, as it was one of the original homes in this area. We think it would make the perfect Halloween home.

Not particularly touristy, this tiny museum is worth a look. It's close and inexpensive with lots of cool local artifacts.

It amazes me what you can find at Honey's. It's the biggest grocery store in Kanab, but it's no walmart (which we appreciate). Like Glazier's it still keeps its hometown feel with its bagging service. You can even get groceries packed in brown paper bags still if you prefer.

For small town USA we feel fortunate to have two well-stocked and friendly grocery stores. No self check-outs just good old fashioned bagging service. Bring your own shopping bags if you want to avoid an abundance of plastic ones.

One of my favorite restaurants. While it is on the upscale side for our town, even if you're on a tight budget it'd be worth just going for desserts! The chefs are amazing, and the place has a great vibe.

This is our go to eatery. My family of omnivores (and carnivores) love it, even with no steak in sight. I'm guessing If you are vegan or vegetarian, or need to go gluten-free, you will especially appreciate this wonderful restaurant.

Where in the desert can you get divine authentic French & European Cuisine? Yep, right here in Kanab. Recently when I came back from travelling I was telling my family, now if only Kanab had passionfruit gelato...and voila, Vermillion 45 opened and it has that and more. You can spend a lot or a little, as they have many quality meals at very reasonable prices.

You can spend a lot or a little, as they have many quality meals at very reasonable prices.
Sightseeing
There are some very cool and colorful ancient rock art in this gulch but access is seasonal and it's off unsealed roads, so you've either got to really love hiking or go in via horses and guide.

Entertainment & Activities
There are dinosaur tracks in a number of areas in this part of the country but the ones that I know of that are closest to Kanab are north of town just before the truck weigh station on highway 89 . A 20 minute hike up onto a knoll and you ought to find them. For exact directions ask at the Tourism visitor center in Kanab.
