Fantastic walking up on The Mynd with its 150 miles of paths. Good scenery, some healthy exercise and running streams makes this a super spot for a mid to short walk. You can even finish off in the tea rooms for a refreshment. parking costs so have some change.

Plenty of pubs in and around the area including Mortimer Cross Inn & Riverside Inn at Aymestrey, where a god lunch can be had after the walk.

Much of the 177-mile (285 km) route either follows the remnants of Offa's Dyke, an 8th-century earthwork, the majority of which was probably constructed on the orders of Mercian King Offa. The visitors centre will explain all. From the centre you can take a walk along the river Teme and 'tick off' some of the route.
