The absolute best ramen you will ever have. Ask for the shiitake mushrooms and a spice bomb -- you won't be disappointed. It can be hard to get a seat here, so you're best going early (11:45am or so for lunch and 5pm-ish for dinner). If you can't get in, try their sister restaurant Bantam King -- it's around the corner and normally has shorter wait times.

Amazing fixed menu for a fair price. This is the much more affordable offering from the same people own Komi, a perennial contender for top DC restaurant. Note that several of their delicious dishes can be a bit spicy and there are no substitutions. Come later and you should still be able to get in, you just may need to kill some time with a few drinks. The wait will be well worth it!

Little Serow
1511 17th St NWAmazing fixed menu for a fair price. This is the much more affordable offering from the same people own Komi, a perennial contender for top DC restaurant. Note that several of their delicious dishes can be a bit spicy and there are no substitutions. There are no reservations, but if you get there a little before 5pm, you can typically snag a table then or for a later reservation. Come later and you should still be able to get in, you just may need to kill some time with a few drinks. The wait will be well worth it!
Union Market is just a short walk from our home. It's a great place to grab a casual drink or meal, and has tons of options. We especially like Takorean (Korean tacos), Rappahannock (oysters), Buffalo Bergen (breakfast sandwiches), and Trickling Springs (ice cream). Also, try Bidwell (American/southern), which has made the Michelin Bib Gourmand list two years in a row! Note, Union Market is closed on Mondays.

We especially like Takorean (Korean tacos), Rappahannock (oysters), Buffalo Bergen (breakfast sandwiches), and Trickling Springs (ice cream). Also, try Bidwell (American/southern), which has made the Michelin Bib Gourmand list two years in a row! Note, Union Market is closed on Mondays.

Sit back on one of the cozy outdoor couches and warm yourself with the outdoor fire-pits or one of the unique cocktails offerings. The menu is pricey, but well worth it.
