Walnut Canyon is a fantastic local treat for sightseers. The geology is beautiful, from the rim or if you choose to hike down into the canyon. Park guides or the visitor center has excellent information on the important information on the native american history of Walnut Canyon and it's ancient dwellings. Our home is just 5 miles from here on I-40 or 30 minutes by mountain bike.
