If you're into cheese, this is absolutely your place. European cheeses at their best. They also have a few tables at the back where you can enjoy a fondue, a raclette or a table of cheeses (with wine, if you must). Ask for Ivo, he knows cheeses inside-out.

Brighton's National Park. You can get to it by bus (number 77 from the Clock Tower, a five minutes walk from our apartment, or by car, a 20 minutes drive. There's a pub serving country-style food which is not always great but the views from it are stunning. You can practice paragliding or watch other people do it. You can go for nature walks, bird watch or build stick homes for the fairies, if that's more your thing.
