Ambar en Mar y Tierra is closed down, but, Google does not have other locations. So, this location is by the main square in Barra de Navidad where you can go to the following restaurants and cenadurias: - El Rinconcito Mexicano: Enjoy the most delicous "carne asada" grilled thin beef served with salad, refied beans, a quesadilla and chorizo. Salsas are amazing! - Cenaduría Esperanza: Tipical mexican cenaduría. only opens in the evenings. Don´t miss the pozole and tostadas. To drink ask for "atole de coco" a tipical mexican beverage.

A delicious sea food restaurant. We like to go for lunch or dinner. The service is great and the food is really great. All is good, but, our favorites are the fish burgers and micheladas for lunch. For dinner try shrimp a la diabla, red snapper "al ajillo" , seared tuna.

Barra de Navidad - A Paradise for Birds and Bird Watchers Barra de Navidad is located on the east end of the Bahia de Navidad . With a lagoon behind , it offers great bird watching for experts birders or for those just nature lovers within relatively short distances. A good time of the day to go birding and to observe the Rosseate Spoon bill, White Ibis, Kingfhisher and some others birds is early in the morning just as the sun rises. Other birds like the Yellow Wing Cacique love the seeds of the guamuchil tree. It has a long red seed pod with small white seeds. The seed pods are ripe in early February and many different types of birds and squirrels really love this fruit . Enjoy events with live music every evening during a week in the main square in Barra de Navidad, the Mardi Grass Parade and the crowning of the Carnaval Queen.
