Both locks are a wonderful marvels of engineering, and the history of their development is interesting. there is a films at Miraflores about the history, and a Canal museum in Casco Viejo.

Biomuseo is a marvel of engineering that demonstrates the importance of Panama geographically, biologically, culturally and historically. It is a state of the art building that by its very structure demonstrates the tropical rain forest. Highly recommended.
