Guidebook for Cassano delle Murge

Cassano does not have any railway stations. The main public form of transport will be buses. There is a bus link between Cassano and Bari that departs roughly every hour from the centre of town. If you are looking for rail links the closest town with a railway station will be Acquaviva Delle Fonti located roughly 7~km away from Cassano. The bus going towards Bari will stop at Acquaviva.

Cassano in the summer can reach temperatures up to 40°C (104°F) with a daily average of 30/35~°C (86/95°F) so be prepared by packing very light clothing and reusable water bottles to carry with you. Cassano has water fountains spread around town for you to fill up your bottle if you find yourself running empty! In the winter Cassano can reach anything between 20°C (68°F) all the way to 0°C (32°F).

The majority of businesses especially local small shops only accept cash and are not prepared to accept card currently. This is a rapidly evolving scenario meaning many small shops are beginning to accept card, but to be on the safe side and avoid awkward interactions do carry some cash with you.
